Caroline is a certified public accountant with more than 18 years of experience in financial management and capital market transactions, including 8 years of experience in audit and advisory practice with Big Four accounting firms. During the past several years, Caroline has developed in-depth industry expertise in the fintech sector.

Caroline joined Weshare Financials as chief financial officer in December 2016. She oversees the overall financial management, business strategy, funding and investments of the domestic and international operations of the company. Within finance, she guides the controller, treasury, shareholder relations, accounting, tax planning, and internal audit functions to pursue the company’s aggressive growth strategy and meet its investors’ expectations.

Before joining Weshare, Caroline served as head of finance with Zhong’An Insurance (China’s first and online-only insuretech company, launched in 2013 as a joint venture of the internet and insurance titans, Alibaba, Tencent, and Ping An). In this role, Caroline helped the company align financial and business metrics to support business strategy and high growth, eventually enabling the company to become IPO ready. Prior to that, Caroline was senior finance director at Manulife-Sinochem.  

Caroline began her career with Arthur Andersen and spent 8 years with Arthur Andersen and Price Waterhouse (PwC) in a variety of roles primarily focused on providing audit and advisory services to the financial industry. Caroline has built up expertise in assisting many large financial institutions in China – including banks, insurance companies, and asset management companies – to successfully complete financial restructuring, M&A projects, and overseas IPO.

Caroline earned her MBA from Duke University and her bachelor’s degree in economics from the School of Finance of Renmin University in China.
